Beach Girls

What looked like a gloomy day at the beach turned out to give us incredible soft light. I love doing a shoot when it's a little foggy. Actually I LOVE it when the marine layer comes into our valley most nights. It's one of the things I missed most about California when we lived in Texas (and surf shops, and In-N-Out, and....). I've taken some of my favorite shots in conditions like this, and I'm excited about the results of this shoot. This young, energetic mom and her two daughters followed me to a "secret" little beach, we had to time the waves just right to make it around the rocks. We only got a little wet, and only almost lost a sandal! We laughed a lot and got a private little area out of this expedition. Thanks for being good sports!!!
