Speaking Engagement

This coming Saturday I will speak on photography at Calvary Community's Spring Jubilee event. Chelsea Cameron (Kirk Cameron's wife) will be the main speaker. My topic is "Simple Tips for better Photos". I've done that before, but still get a little nervous when I first get started. Once I get going, I'm fine. It's just those first few moments. I got a new top, working on my power point, almost ready to go.
Here is the website in case anyone is interested: http://calvarycc.org

Tuscan Gardens Wedding-The Bride and Groom

Last but not least, the bride and groom. Taking pictures of the newly married couple is my favorite part of shooting a wedding (ok, I love the bride portraits as well). After the business of all the preparations and the intensity of the ceremony, this is the first time that the bride and groom get to relax a little and enjoy their first moments as husband and wife. They very happily pose for me, the more kissing poses the better :). I try to hang back as much as possible to let them do what comes natural and snap away. It's a very joyful time and I truly feel honored to be there to capture the moments. Carl and Diane were SO happy to be married, the pictures totally reflect that.

Tuscan Gardens Wedding-The Ceremony

Some beautiful photos from the ceremony. It was hard to narrow it down to just a few for this collage. It was beautiful. I have my 25th Anniversary coming up in a couple of years, mmmh, makes me want to make some plans...

Tuscan Gardens Wedding- The Bride and Groom

While I was editing these pictures today I REALLY liked this one, so I decided to go ahead and post it right away. I love how happy the bride and groom look and all the beautiful colors of the gazebo with the contrast of the red flowers.

Tuscan Gardens Wedding-The Girls

Some beautiful shots of the Bride with her girls. And I sneaked in one with her Dad, too.

Cutie Tutu Girl

You may remember this little cutie from a post one year ago. What a difference one year makes! Isabella is so much into exploring the world. She loved my cats ("kitties) and was very happy when Gidget let her pet her. She was talking away, and let us know when she wasn't into a particular pose or activity ("No"). I couldn't get over how cute she was in those hot pink Converse and the tutu.

Tuscan Gardens Wedding-The Bride

What a gorgeous bride! D. is a sweet person, and she was obviously so happy to get married, I think she just glows in these pictures. I love photographing weddings and being able to see and capture all the love and happiness the bride and groom have for each other. Wait until I post the bride and groom photos, you can tell those two were mfeo (meant for each other, from Sleepless in Seattle).

Tuscan Gardens Wedding- The Guys

Here are the guys! These guys were having fun getting ready together and they seem to have a
great friendship. They look so GQ in their tuxes. My favorite shot is the one of the groom with his future father-in-law. So much mutual respect and happiness in that image.

Tuscan Gardens Wedding

Here is the first sneak peek for a beautiful wedding I got to photograph in March. I had so much fun with these 3 lovely girls who were so excited to be an important part of the wedding and for becoming sisters in the process. They were such little ladies, and full of smiles and giggles. I loved their matching pedicures and pretty shoes. Many more pictures to come soon.

Yellow Mustard Flower Field

The mustard flowers are blooming along PCH this time of year, just hillsides drenched in yellow. Yellow is my favorite color ever for flowers so I took Makena and her BFF down to the beach for a little shoot. Unfortunately Makena got car sick and once she recovered, got badly stung by nettles. We canceled the shoot and went to Neptune's Net for some ice cream (Remember the dad in MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING who uses Windex for EVERYTHING? Ice cream is my go to medicine that seems to fix almost anything). Somehow in between I managed to get these cute shots. By the way, thanks life guard Tim for the first aid!
